Booking Appointments
New clients are kindly asked to contact the practice directly before making any payments or booking an appointment. This initial contact allows us to briefly discuss your needs, confirm suitability, and agree on an appropriate appointment time.
Free Video Call Introduction
We also offer a discretionary 20-minute introductory video consultation, free of charge. This provides an opportunity for you to introduce yourself, outline your reasons for seeking support, and ask any initial questions, while gaining a sense of whether the practitioner and service feel appropriate for your needs.
This introductory meeting is offered at the discretion of the practice and is not provided as a standard entitlement. It must be arranged strictly in advance and is available by appointment only.
Appointment Confirmation
Appointments are confirmed in writing following this direct contact. Once confirmed, an invoice will be issued for the agreed session. Payment is required in advance and must be received prior to the appointment.
Each session time is specifically allocated to you and reserved exclusively for your use. If you need to reschedule due to unforeseen circumstances, a minimum of 48 hours’ notice is required. In such cases, the session will be rearranged to a mutually convenient time. Fees are non-refundable but may be transferred to the rescheduled appointment when sufficient notice is given.
On Cancellations
Appointments cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice cannot be transferred, as the reserved time will have been set aside exclusively for you. Where notice is given in advance, the released time may be offered to another client.
Fees
Fees are determined on an individual basis depending on the type of service required.
Prospective clients are encouraged to contact the practice directly to discuss fees and receive detailed information relevant to their specific needs.

Other Information
Avenue Psychotherapy Service has been operating as a consulting room-based practice since 1995. Online appointments were previously offered only to existing patients of the practice, but they are now available to all patients making inquiries. This allows clients from anywhere in the world to access our services, providing greater flexibility in scheduling and eliminating geographic restrictions.
All patients must be fluent English speakers to ensure effective communication and meaningful participation in psychotherapy. Appointments should be taken from a private, secure environment with a reliable internet connection to maintain strict confidentiality and session quality.
The online format ensures maximum accessibility and convenience.
All of our practitioners subscribe to the code of ethics in practice, as outlined by the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy. While they may not be active members, they subscribe to these legal principles unconditionally.
